Provence and the Southern Alps

 

2025 sees the Old Gits returning to one of our favourite destinations - Provence in the South East of France. With more wonderful roads per square mile than just about anywhere else, with the Route des Grande Alpes and the Route Napoleon, with the Cote d'Azure and the Gorges du Verdon, this is a destination every motorcyclist should visit.

The 2025 Old Gits trip offers a great opportunity to enjoy your bike while taking in the stunning views, then sharing those experiences with fellow bikers over a drink or two in the evenings.

The trip dates will be:

Friday 5th September 2025

Sunday 14th September 2025

 

Cost: Under £1,200 per person - solo rider and bike

Cost includes

Single occupancy room in 3* hotels B&B.
Parking for you motorcycle.
“Tunnel” crossings for you and your bike.
All planning, booking and trip arrangements provided free of charge.

Late afternoon Fri 5th September – Eurotunnel to France - Ibis Bethune Centre Gare - 1 night - 51 Miles (from Calais)
Sat 6th September – Perouges - Hôtel la Berangere - 1 night
420 Miles
Sun 7th September – Castellane - Hôtel du Commerce - 3 nights
217 Miles
Wed 10th September – Barcelonnette - Hôtel & Spa Azteca - 3 nights
155 Miles
Sat 13th September – Chalon-sur-Saone - Ibis Chalon-sur-Saône - 1 night
250 Miles
Sun 14th September – Eurotunnel to UK
384 Miles

We’ll then head for home from the “Chunnel” on Sunday afternoon.

You are welcome to join the trip or leave the trip at any of the intermediate hotels, and to arrange your own Channel Crossing.
