Write-up

David Mc should have been on his Firestorm but this broke a cam chain tensioner at Dover. AA 5 star cover provided relay home for the bike and a hired Yamaha R1, (after a bit of negotiating with the AA), for the trip. David joined the group a day late in France.

The Nurburgring proved exciting for all especially when a brand new Porsche GT3 did what Porsches do best and “reversed” into the Armco at high speed.

Alan Mc had an unfortunate accident on his K1 on the ring this year.

When the track was re-opened many vehicles started out on the empty track, (Cars - Porsches, BMW’s, a Ferrari and a number of very “hot hatches”. Bikes – Ducattis', Fireblades', R1s' and many others.)

First vehicle back by more than 30 seconds – BMW R1100S – an old mans bike???
